Many little things

Hi. I'd like to tell in the next Tech News issue about the improvements I made this week in the Global Watchlist. I'll write it later in pretty form. But there are 7 improvements, resolving 4.5 Phabricator tasks. They all can be described very shortly, so it will be something like "It includes X, Y, Z, ...". The question is if it's fine to have such a long list of seven points in one entry, isn't it too cumbersome for the Tech News? Thank you. IKhitron (talk) 11:34, 25 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

@IKhitron I have seen what you did with the final entry and length looks fine. -- STei (WMF) (talk) 18:31, 9 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, @STei (WMF), but there are more tasks from now, so could you still answer, please? IKhitron (talk) 18:39, 9 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Please? IKhitron (talk) 07:27, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I didn't understand you, and I have been out of office. Can I see this draft please? -- STei (WMF) (talk) 16:05, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
What draft? I asked if seven points in one entry isn't too much, theoretically, because the new tasks keeping to arrive. Thank you. IKhitron (talk) 22:10, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

To whom this may concern. The dewiki (DE) apparently receives and distributes news with taglines which apparently collide with the ISO 8601 Calendar date i.e. YYYY-MM as follows:

  • German: Technische Neuigkeiten: 2026-05 vom 2026-01-27
  • English presumed: Technical News: 2026-05 as of 2026-01-27 which is January 27th 2026

However this collides with ISO calendar date: 2026-05 which is May 2026.

Proposed ad-hoc solution: provide taglines like Technical News: 2026_#05 or similar.

Please find an independent local user page which receives such news as an example like

Thank you and good luck. Stieselkein (talk) 00:22, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Stieselkein thanks for the feedback, I will get back to you next week, possibly for consideration for the next edition. -- STei (WMF) (talk) 16:07, 29 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
