What is Kunobi?

Kunobi is a desktop platform management IDE. GitOps, simplified.

Built with Rust and React (Tauri -- no Electron), it provides real-time visual oversight of your Kubernetes clusters, FluxCD, ArgoCD, and Helm.

Key features:

  • Real-time cluster visibility with resource browser, YAML editor, and embedded terminal
  • Native FluxCD, ArgoCD, and Helm support
  • Built-in MCP server for AI assistants (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex CLI, Gemini CLI)
  • Available on macOS, Windows, and Linux
  • No account required, no cloud dependency

Built-in MCP support:

Kunobi has an embedded MCP HTTP server. Enable it in Settings > AI & MCP, and AI assistants can manage your clusters while you maintain full visual oversight.

Hey - I've left some high level feedback:

  • The alt text for the icons uses Nonfree while the description says it has both a free and paid tier; consider aligning the labels (e.g., ![Freeware][freeware icon] plus the money icon) to match the intended licensing and the GitKraken entry format.
  • The Kunobi description is a bit longer than most neighboring entries; consider tightening the phrasing to keep it consistent in length and style with the surrounding items.

Thanks for the review!

Regarding the icon alt text -- I matched the format used by the GitKraken entry (line 470), which also uses ![Nonfree][freeware icon]![Nonfree][money icon]. Happy to adjust if there's a preferred convention I missed!

I've also shortened the description to keep it in line with the neighboring entries. Let me know if there's anything else I should tweak. Thanks for maintaining this awesome list!
