## Local Development Setup

### Prerequisites

- Docker Desktop installed
- Docker Compose installed (comes with Docker Desktop)

Check versions:

```bash
docker --version
docker compose version
```

### Run application locally

From the project root directory run:

```bash
docker compose up --build
```

### Application URLs

Vote app:
http://localhost:8080

Results app:
http://localhost:8081

### Stop the application

```bash
docker compose down
```

### Environment Variables

No additional environment variables are required for local development.
