Hi, I noticed that you added what at this writing is a Wikilink to a non-existent article, namely Lillian Welsh, to the Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania#Notable alumnae. Generally, people who have no Wikipedia article who are added to a lists are considered non-notable, & the normal action of reviewing editors would be to remove it from the list. However, in the spirit of WikiProject Women in Red & today's BBC 100 Women 2016 edit-a-thon, I ask that you please consider writing the Lillian Welsh article. Peaceray (talk) 18:43, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
thanks so much for your message, Peaceray (talk). One of my students just wrote an article for Lillian Welsh as a college course assignment, and should be ready to publish it very shortly. Clio.at.work (talk) 18:51, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jane Freeman (artist), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Rockport and New York (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ * Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

| Women in Red 8th Anniversary | |
| In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap! |

Thank you for your contributions. I'm not undoing your edits because I think they're unhelpful, but because the article is currently undergoing a good article review and I'd like to make sure that citations are consistent, the information in the article has verification in several reliable sources, and that manual of style guidelines are being followed. Additionally, regarding your last edit, I think it's unnecessary to go into the detail about U.S. immigration law because the article is about Smith, not U.S. immigration law; the fact that she was denied citizenship is enough. As I noted before, I think it would be great if you could turn Eleanor Mary Hinder into an article! voorts (talk/contributions) 15:20, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for the explanation. I found the link to the article on the Wikipedia homepage and was really interested to read about Addie Viola Smith, so I wanted to keep strengthening the article. I'll consider working on an article about Eleanor Mary Hinder, who certainly merits one.
- On immigration law vs citizenship: I am worried that somebody has confused citizenship and immigration applications. But if there's a factual error about that, I may be able to clarify it if I work on Hinder. Clio.at.work (talk) 16:15, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
