In case the reliability of Prometheus Books is ever questioned, there have been three discussions at the reliable sources noticeboard.
The general conclusion appears to be that per WP:PARITY, Prometheus books is an adequately reliable source for fringe topics, given its focus on skepticism, atheism, rationalism. Where possible, it should be replaced or supplemented with university press or scholarly journals, but can be relied on for a critical opinion on pseudoscientific topics. WLU (t) (c) Wikipedia's rules: simple/complex 19:46, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply] The above comment on reliability is meaningless. Prometheus, nor any other publisher (including "university publisher's") don't guarantee everything in a given book is accurate or true. That probably would be impossible. But by publishing a given book it shows it thinks the book is valuable and contributes value to a given subject. While "university publisher's" are important, there are some area's of scholarship they won't touch that has nothing to do with how good a book is, but rather is due to politics. -- Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.76.76 (talk) 23:34, 12 June 2013 (UTC)[reply] They seem to be still active, and are publishing books as of 2023. It seems to be the same publisher. http://prometheusbooks.com/about
