My photos
[edit]I've uploaded thousands of my photographs to Wikimedia Commons. Many are used in Wikipedia and it is pretty common for other media to use them - magazines, websites, newsletters, TV, YouTube, publications by radio stations, etc. About weekly, one of my photos is used online, for instance the photography newsletter Fstoppers used my photo of a film canister:

And IFLScience used my photo of five Starlink satellites, Starlink satellites,
and about 2 minutes into this Youtube video, they used my photo of matnetic core memory.
Some of the photos are uploaded individually and some are in bulk. I may have several photos of something - I often have dozens of a historic and even a couple of hundred of a museum.
I usually don't do anything to the ones uploaded in bulk. Usually I will edit an individual photo to improve it, using my creative opinion and decisions. This can include cropping, changing the lighting and brightness, changing the contrast, adjusting the colors, adjusting the sharpness, and correcting for lens distortions (although that is done in the camera now).
