Debian Repository

Has the wikimedia commons ever thought of setting up a debian repository of its artistic media? The tiresome part would be packaging it all, and of course, managing it through debian's package manager frontends (like aptitude, or synaptic). But if it was given a new section (Debian has many, like doc for documentation, games for games, etc.), like wikicommons, would ease the search.
