Venezuelan SAMBO National Championship held in Aragua

The Venezuelan National SAMBO Championships were held in the state of Aragua from 21-24 March. More than 150 athletes from 15 states of the country participated in the tournament. Both men's and women's competitions were held, in both Sport and Combat SAMBO.


International SAMBO tournament in Amindeo

The International SAMBO Tournament for cadets and youth took place in the Greek city of Amindeo on 21st March. Athletes from Greece, Romania and North Macedonia took part in the competition.

Armenia again in the SAMBO spotlight as World Cup heads to Yerevan

The SAMBO World Cup will take place in Yerevan, Armenia from 4-5 April. The World Cup is a qualifying tournament where competitors can gain their first ranking points of the year. For combat sambists, it is one of the selection stages for the World Games, which will be held in Chengdu, China, from 7 to 17 August 2025.

International FIAS Coaches Seminar held in the Netherlands

The International FIAS SAMBO Coaches Seminar took place in the Netherlands on 3rd March. About 30 professionals from nine countries were trained under the guidance of the FIAS Executive Director, Professor Sergey Tabakov. The seminar took place in Dalfsen the day after the Dutch Open.


Uzbek SAMBO World champions finish second at National championships

The Uzbekistan Sambo Championship was held in Tashkent on 27-29 February, with more than 400 athletes from different regions taking part in the tournament, which was held at the Zhar Sports Complex. Medals were awarded in the men's and women's Sport SAMBO and men's Combat SAMBO competitions.


Filipino siblings Sy win gold medals at SAMBO Dutch Open

The Dutch Open Sambo Championship was held on 2 March in the city of Dalfsen. More than 275 athletes from different countries took part in the competition. Medals were awarded in competitions for both very young participants, who are just starting out in SAMBO, and adult sambists.


Kyrgyzstan SAMBO Championship held in Bishkek

The Kyrgyzstan SAMBO Championship was held in Bishkek from February 23 to 25. About 300 athletes from different regions of the country took part in the competitions held at the Sports Palace named after Kozhomkul. Medals were awarded in Sport SAMBO and Combat SAMBO among both men and women.


Chilean National SAMBO tournament "LA COPA LITORAL"

The National SAMBO tournament "LA COPA LITORAL" took place in February on the Central Coast of Chile. The competition was held in the town of El Tabo, in the resort of Guayapolis.


Lagos Judo boss wants to popularise SAMBO in Nigeria
