The 2023 edition of the Trofeo Princesa Sofia Mallorca by Iberostar has been awarded the United Nations (UN) Recognition of Carbon Footprint Calculation and Offsetting Certificate, issued by Trueworld. The 2024 edition has added new initiatives as it moves towards its goal of zero impact.

The event includes several awards, the most outstanding of which being th 11th Hour Racing Sustainability Award from World Sailing and the Team of the Year award, recognizing teams that embody integrity, ambition, resilience, and resourcefulness.

From November 13 to 18, Malaga will be the venue for the 2023 World Sailing Annual Conference.
