Background The Roads and Transport AuthorityRoads and Transport Authority (RTARTA) plans to develop the Blue Line which is the third line of the Dubai MetroDubai Metro Project.

The Blue Line will be 50 km long and will start from Dubai International Airport to Al Maktoum International Airport passing through Emirates Road.

The Blue Line is likely to be extended from Dubai Airport to Palm Deira and to other new developments towards Dubai waterfront projects. It will be connected to the Red Line at Rashidiyah and with the Green Line in Al Nahda.

Parsons Brinckerhoff is the preliminary design and master plan consultant.
